Topics include: 
(1) A review of last lesson: Christ emptying himself, the Incarnation, and Christology; 
(2) Working out our salvation, synergy with God, without grumbling, doing His will from a good heart, not pursuing self-interest; 
(3) Rejoicing in the Lord, rather than getting caught up in our own stuff; 
(4) Circumcision of the heart, vs. relying on heritage or external Orthodoxy; 
(5) Citizenship in heaven and our hope of the resurrection. Holding on to Christ, who has made us His own vs. holding on to things of the world; 
(6) Warning not to fall into the pursuit of things of the world, including wealth, influence and position in the Church: we must reject what is self-serving and follow Christ in His self-emptying; 
(7) Focusing on Christ, thinking about godly things; 
(8) Trusting God's providence without complaining: He will supply our needs; 
(9) Experiencing communion with God and the Kingdom of God here and now.
