Beginning of the Apostles’ Fast Rules for the Apostles’ Fast (June 16 – July 11). Fish, wine, and oil may be consumed on all Saturdays and Sundays of the Fast, and on the Feast of the Nativity of St John the Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord (July 7). Wine and oil are permitted on all Tuesdays and Thursdays of the Fast. On all remaining days of the Apostles’ Fast, we abstain from the consumption of fish, wine, and oil.
